Vermont ACEP Chapter Privacy Policy

When you register for chapter or national ACEP services (e.g., for membership, events, newsletters), we collect voluntary personal information which may include name, email, address, phone, professional affiliation, interests, or other demographic information.
Our chapter may automatically collect aggregate usage analytics (e.g., page hits) via cookies or web server logs. No personally identifying information is gathered from anonymous visitors.

Collected information may be used to administer membership, events, products, services, and communications, to personalize content and improve our site based on usage trends, to send newsletters, announcements, or updates, subject to your consent, and to process payments securely—credit card data is encrypted and handled only by a trusted payment provider.

We may share limited contact data (e.g., name, title, organization, mailing address) with selected service partners subject to confidentiality safeguards—but we do not sell or rent personal information. When required by law, personal information may be disclosed (a) to comply with legal obligations (e.g., subpoenas), (b) to protect rights or safety of our organization/members, or (c) in connection with mergers or transfers of assets.

Credit card details are never saved or shared (beyond encrypted transmission to processors). Members may choose to appear in member directories accessible to other members.

SSL encryption and standard safeguards are employed to protect your data from unauthorized access. Registered users can access, correct, update, or request deletion of their data. You may choose to unsubscribe from ACEP communications at any time. Chapter members may request restrictions or deletion of data (where legally applicable).
